After months of anticipation, the Air Jordan 1 ‘Banned’ edition is being released and is probably the best remake of the last 10 years of the iconic template.
Apart from the color, this version supersedes all other for the materials and the logo on the heel: a ‘banned’ X replaces the typcial “Nike Air” logo or the “Jumpman” logo that we’ve become accustomed to seeing on the various remakes.
The X and the name “Banned” refer to the famous TV ad released in 1985 to promote the launch of the shoe. The Air Jordan 1 Retro ‘Banned’ is a limited edition of only 160 pairs per dealer and Jordan is only making 9000 pieces in all.
