Back to the Future: DMC Delorean Announces All-Electric Vehicle For 2013

Coming on the heels of Nike’s announcement of the limited release of the iconic Nike Air Mag (aka the Marty McFly’s), Delorean Motor Company has announced that they are planning to release the iconic DMC-12.

DMC has been working with electric car startup Epic EV to put an all-electric DMC-12 into production by 2013. DMC has been in the business of restoring DeLoreans or even assembling new cars to order, as the company maintains a large inventory of original parts.

The electric model is expected have a maximum speed of 125 miles per hour and a motor that delivers 260 horsepower, with an MSRP around $90,000-100,000. Although this vehicle won’t feature a flux capacitor and you won’t be able to travel back in time when you hit 88 mph, you will definitely turn heads on the streets where ever you are.
