Polish painter Alexandra Pacula combines elements of photorealism, expressionism, and impressionism to create large blurred oil paintings of urban scenes. Out of her Brooklyn studio Pacula paints a variety of settings that mimic long-exposure photographs, capturing spirals of street lights that inspire a feeling of long city nights. Pacula’s work has been featured in exhibitions across the U.S., Spain, London, and Paris. Check out more of her work below. Kind of reminds us of some nights out, when we’ve had a little bit too much. Enjoy.
