Check out a collection of the most significant street-art installations made during the course of 2011 by BrooklynStreetArt.com.
Whether from a rooftop in Bushwick, Brooklyn, block-long wall in Miami, or the “Art in the Streets” show at the MOCA, they’ve got it covered.
In the video below you can sample the best of the best street art pieces with a soundtrack made off of sounds culled from Brooklyn’s streets by electro duo Javelin. The sounds literally came from the streets. Javelin spent a day in the Red Hook neighborhood collecting sounds and then mixed them to create the music featured. This is the kind of ingenuity is fueling the fire of neighborhood artists all over the world.
The video shows a gallery of photographs taken by Jaime Rojo of work done this year including; Banksy, Barry McGee, Blek Le Rat, D * Face, ESPO, Invader, OsGemeos, JR, Retna, ROA, and many others. For the complete list, check out the Brooklyn Street Art Blog.
