Last week we checked out the new released by Converse: the Defcon and and the Proleather 2k11 first hand at their event at Cedar Lake Studios in New York City. DJ Bobbito Garcia set off the night with an eclectic music including 80s tunes and latin music. DJ Reach followed up with second half music set featuring both old and new hip hop and r&b.
Several guests also joined in the celebration later in the evening, including Team Converse athletes Chris Andersen of the Denver Nuggets, Lou Williams of the Philadelphia 76ers, and Kyle Korver of the Chicago Bulls.
The sneakers have been updated for the new year. The DEFCON’s lightweight one piece vamp allows its wearer to soar higher than ever before. Its Converse Balls Technology and ORTHOLITE liner ensure hours of play without fatigue. The same with the CONVERSE Pro Leather 2K11, the contemporary counterpart, made famous originally by the legendary Dr. J. Both the Converse Defcon and Converse Pro Leather 2K11 will be available in the coming weeks at CONVERSE retailers across the globe. Check out the images below of the event.
