Luxury Hybrid: the Jaguar C-X16 Concept

Jaguar is set to unveil its C-X16 coupe at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Featuring a 3.0-liter V6 engine delivering 376 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, the vehicle can be supercharged at the press of a button. A “Push to Pass” hybrid system is initiated with a steering wheel button, whereupon an electric motor, integrated into the eight-speed gearbox, provides an additional 92 hp and 173 lb-ft of torque.

The additional boost allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph. Just as impressive, emissions are limited to 165 g/km CO2, while the car can travel up to 50 mph on just electric power alone. Check out more images of the sleek two-seater below.
