When we first read the title of this book, we figured it was going to be another book on style, however, we were presently surprised to be wrong. In ‘The Essentials of Fabulous’ book, Ellen Lubin-Sherman describes that being fabulous is that genuine, warm feeling you receive when encountering something or someone amazing.
“…The people who loom large in our minds, whose high spirits bring the oxygen back into the room, whose playful natures inspire us to have more fun and who can wind a few strands of apparent junk around their necks and still look mind -bogglingly stunning- they are unforgettable.”
Lubin- Sherman touches topics not normally associated with being fabulous. She dives further than appearances and into topics like ”giving good text”, and even resurrects the art of the ’just because’ handwritten note (remember those?).
‘The Essentials Of Fabulous’ is a book not about a technique , gimmicks, or a made up a story you’re telling the world about yourself. It’s the upholds values that are often forgotten in this society. Its about honesty, being kind, genuine, having no hidden agenda or pretense and having a tons of fun while living your life.
