Uncensored Playboy Magazine for iPad Goes Live

The official Playboy website designed for viewing on the iPad, announced in January, is now live.

The app was originally slated to be launched in March, but it was pushed back two months. Hugh Hefner announced this news that the site is live via his Twitter account.

Playboy for iPad brings the magazine’s entire back catalog as well as new issues. The content is available only to subscribers at $8 per month, $60 per year and $100 for two years.

For those wondering how Playboy managed to bypass Apple’s strict no-nudity laws, the catch is that the app is web-based, thereby bypassing Apple’s review process.
